There will be amazing raffles, food, and entertainment! TBT to having the honor of being on the cover of modernluxuryhawaii! Did you know that Native Hawaiians, Native Americans, and other indigenous people experience some of the highest rate of homelessness in our country?

Measured as the number of people experiencing homelessness on a given night per 10, people in the population, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders have the highest rate of homelessness.

To witness this harsh reality in Hawaii and our country is completely devastating and heartbreaking. To support indigenous people is more than just posting a picture on social media but to educate your community on the hardships indigenous people face today. Take time to learn about the culture and language, support legislations and organizations that help indigenous communities, support indigenous artists, and get involved in trying to make a difference.

We honor the brave and heroic men and women who selflessly sacrificed their lives for others. She volunteers in order to help young people create meaningful bonds with nature so they will appreciate its beauty and understand its need for protection. Due to experiencing homelessness firsthand, the beauty pageant contestant became an advocate of the Nevada partnership for Homeless Youth NPHY.

She uses her own experiences of building a better life with the help and kindness of others to inspire others — especially children — who are facing homelessness. What will make you or break you is your confidence in yourself.

Training was very tough. My body was sore every day and it was so hard to get up in the morning after a hard day of training. I enjoyed it all…. I love pushing myself.
