How long is svengali show

HI i never miss your show. I watched a movie called Neanderthal from , and think it would be good on your show. Take care. We would rush home for skating to watch it.

It was called Graves End Manor and the host was Malcom the butler. They showed scary films like you do. Keep up the great work! Svengoolie has taken me back to my youth when I use to see zacherley the cool ghoul in nyc and now svengoolie every Saturday my wife and I met him at comic com in nyc took pix with him and autographed his comic books for us. Watched How to make a monster as soon it startedi saw Paul Brinegar from Rawhide but dodnt see him mention ed love the show wore my Svengoli shirt onWrestling Jerichos cruise last year ran into some other fans.

I watched Bestoink Dooly in the 60s in Atlanta. It was pretty much the same as Svengooly. Love it. I tend to agree with you. There are movies that I saw as a kid in the early sixties that would be perfect, but you never ever see them anymore.

That said, I enjoy the show very much and look forward to the cast and crew back in the studio as of 04Sep Celebrities Athletes Actors Musicians Lists. Jerry subsequently invited Rich on to the show. Rich became Svengoolie and resumed weekly horror movie shows. In , Koz was admitted to a Chicago hospital, where he was treated for another heart attack. He appeared as Svengoolie in a commercial for the Empire carpet company of the Chicagoland area.

I love Svengoolie! Bishop gave up the Svengoolie ghost. Koz initially played Son of Sven, after sending gags to Bishop and being taken under his wing. His own contribution was simple, too. There was no such thing. Not these days. Who do you think does the research on that?

And somebody has to make the film and the funny fit into that two-hour slot. Koz suggests needed movie trims, making it four hats. Who do you think writes that? Top review. Oddball humor, sci-fi and Horror B-movies, coolness! A quirky, oddball Chicago area TV show incorporating local guy Rich Koz as the "Svengoolie" character who hosts a series of mostly low budget horror and sci-fi movies.

The series was originally called "Son of Svengoolie", now simply "Svengoolie", and was actually spun off from a previous series which Koz was a writer for called "Screaming Yellow Theatre".

Much of the humor is self-deprecating and admittedly cheesy, but is usually funny for just this reason. Koz, in full makeup and costume, opens the show with some slapstick humor and then inbetween the show and commercial breaks, jumps in with more, often with his buddy "Doug Graves" who plays ditties on the piano. The show usually ends with Koz standing in an upright coffin and making a series of jokes so lame that the cameramen start pelting him with rubber chickens. Some low-grade special effects often make an appearance in the form of a moustacioed talking skull and other oddities.

I grew up watching this. It was on once a week, in the evening, after The Incredible Hulk. This show was a major precursor to shows like Mystery Science Theatre , so if you're a fan of that you might get a kick out of this as well. Cool old movies you don't see very often on TV if at all! Lots of fun! Details Edit. Release date United States. United States. Official site The Svengoolie Web. Chicago, Illinois, USA. Technical specs Edit.
