Which version of kanon is better
But really, i have to admit that the character design is very Fukc up, worst than Love Hina.. However, it's the old version that is more creative when it comes to color choices. And they have many more types of images compared to the new version.
Of course.. Hell ya Music-- Alright, now the music.. I have to admit that the version is better.. Voice acting Seiyuu -- Same seiyuu except Yuichi.. If in this version he would have picked another heroine, hopefully Nayuki, then the version would not feel "useless".
Now their is no point of watching the version other than the Kazahana episode, which is kinda like this anime's After Story. In Clannad, the only way to get After Story is for the male MC to pick Nagisa, which stinks because she stunk and the best chicks were Kyou and the dorm chick by far. But in this remake version, the male MC should have picked Nayuki. I would watch before , if you can stand the artstyle it's closer to the original VN btw. Because, then would still be interesting as a kind of "upgrade" in terms of graphics and amount of content.
At least that worked for me. Pacing is faster in the old version. It has less comedy moments, so it feels more dramatic. I actually like how they handled some moments better, for example the Nayuki route. Old blurry graphics adds some nostalgic feel which blends well with this winter fairy-tale. In terms of plot, there are going to be many small differences.
The one had 11 more episodes than the one, so understandably there is more content there. Both are very close to the VN, but the one stripped out a lot of extraneous content and condensed a lot of necessary content to the point that it created some plot holes. The content that was removed had a lot of comedy, so the version comes off as more of a drama than the one.
The one difference that I definitely noticed is that Mai's story in the version was greatly condensed to the point of not making sense, while it's quite well-paced and understandable in the version. Overall, the big differences are that with the version, you just don't get as much of the story, and it goes somewhat faster. I think the advice of most people would be that if you've already watched the version, there's not a lot of reason to watch the version. Instead, if you want more Kanon, the better thing to do would be to read the VN.
